Why
should you hire me to tell the world how to use
your product? Because I appreciate that people
approach new products from different angles,
with alternative agendas and different sets of
expectations. While I understand how your product
works, I specialise in translating that knowledge
to people who don't, in a way that they can hook
into. Whether that process requires words, pictures

| Biography |
My
interest in all things electronic began at an
early age and persisted through college.
I worked for several computer companies before
going solo in 1993. Since then I have worked on
many projects for a wide range of companies. I
have purposefully kept things small and personal – I
do not outsource any writing, illustration or page
layout work because I know that my clients value
my personal attention to detail.
I cross numerous industry boundaries and have produced
documentation for products ranging from mobile
phones to security equipment, computer devices
to LED stage lighting, marine positioning to traffic
control systems and many more. You can find examples
of all such projects within the portfolio section
of my website (www.ctxd.com).
Whether the project requires printed guides, online
PDF files or help files, my approach is to determine
what your readers expect and to answer their questions
in the most appropriate manner. My combined approach
to writing, illustration and page design means
that I can communicate with the reader on numerous
levels. This greatly increases the chances that
they will derive their answers from the documentation,
rather than your overworked telephone help line. |
