Biography Four years ago I moved to London from Bruges in Belgium. Over the years, life in London has changed me. It made me synchronise with it's faster rhythm, it's unique flavour, it's colour and the eclectic mix of people that crowd the streets. This city breathes a sense of 'Everything is possible' making me feel more and more confident about what I had always dreamed of being; a freelance photographer, translating what I see in my mind's eye into tangible images.

I gradually started working as a freelance photographer for various animal charities. I was overwhelmed by the quiet passion and determined dedication these charities have for animals and their owners. One of my main clients is The Mayhew Animal Home. Working for them made me look behind closed doors, into sometimes disturbing parts of hidden social misery. It allowed me to meet with the homeless, the sick, the deprived, witnessing their astounding love for their pets and the visible strength they gain from caring for them.

My images for the Cats Protection League have been used in various national and local newspapers (including a double page spread in the Daily Express) and I also work on a regular basis for ‘Your Cat’ magazine.

Recently, I work more and more for the surrounding boroughs of Harrow and Brent (Wembley). These assignments require me to take standard group pictures, make portraits, cover receptions and events. It teaches me a lot about my local community and forces me to see the beauty in everything. It can be challenging at times, but it gives me great pleasure as well when the client is satisfied.

One assignment in particular, showed me London from a different angle once again. Transport for London was promoting their cycle response units and I cycled along with them for four days. It took me to parts of the city I hadn't been before, seeing it from an angle I hadn't been able to before. The ambulance team made the biggest impression on me, as I could witness how fast they get to the scene, helping people long before the cars get through the congested roads of central London.

On the more creative side, I get my inspiration from shapes in the urban landscape. Seeing beauty through the forest of chaos and dirt in the streets of the city. All in all, you could call me a journalistic photographer with a big heart for animals.

Please email me for further information, I am available for assignment, either private or corporate.
