• Error documents improved with the addition of search facilities and stylistic changes.
Server temporarily down: On 23 and 24 November we experienced serious problems with our web servers. The problems were related to a relocation of our web servers and they were not fully resolved until around 18:00 GMT on 24 November (although access would have been available intermittently from approximately midday on 23 November). We are currently mointoring our service in its current state, and are also taking steps to remove the possibility of further issues. Although our on-line availability is better than 99.6% uptime, this was our worst outrage since we began our service and we apologise to all our users who attempted to visit our site during this period.
New Resource: GNU Free Documentation License: The GNU Documentation License is intended to make a manual, textbook, or other written documentation 'free' and to ensure the author of that work is credited. We have included a copy of the GNU Documentation License at AbleStable® for general reference.
New Resource: An Overview of the GNU Project: The GNU Project aims to provide free software for all. This article outlines the background and principles of The Free Software Foundation (FSF) who are responsible for the GNU Project.
