• A new generic domain name has been added to
our domain name portfolio:
www.creative-freelancer.com. When anyone enters this
names in a web browser connected to the Internet they
will be automatically redirected to AbleStable's®
homepage. Redirection provides additional paths to
discovering our services and establishes AbleStable®
as a leading informational provider for the search
of creative professionals on the Internet.
• Our Terms
and Conditions have been amended to take account
of our Payment Gateway which is due to go live during
October 2002. The main changes apply to the 'General
Conditions' section and detail the different Service
Levels available to creative professionals.
• New Article:
Writing
About Yourself: The Best Brief Bio: The act of
summarising a life in a few well chosen words is far
more difficult than it might at first appear. This
article guides the reader through preparing a simple
but effective biographical entry.
• General maintenance schedule including: site-wide

has been rewritten to offer a broader coverage of

We have a brand new search engine at AbleStable®
which transforms our users' search capabilities. Users
can now search different realms of our site at lightning
speed. 'Deep Search' and 'Quick Pro Search' have been
replaced by a leaner, more effective single search
engine that our users can access right from our homepage.

Gateway (19 September 02)
Major changes are underway at AbleStable®
in preparation for when our Payment Gateway goes live
in October. The majority of these changes relate to
our paid services for creative professionals and businesses
in the creative industries. Find more details below.
AbleStable's® Payment Gateway
to open October 2002 (9 September 02)
Our Payment Gateway will open in October 2002 and
will be hosted by WorldPay, leaders since 1993 in
online debit and credit card processing. Our Payment
Gateway will be hosted as part of WorldPay's 'Click
& Build' integrated Internet payment environment
ensuring seamless integration with our site, and a
premium payment transaction service for our registered
users.
After placing an order for a service, creative professionals
and businesses in the creative industries will be
redirected to WorldPay's secure server to enter their
card details and make the financial transaction. AbleStable®
will never receive or store card details, and thereby
minimises the possible risks of fraud and impropriety.
Written Extracts Added to Member Profiles (7
September 2002)
Creative professionals may now show an example of
their writing content and style at AbleStable®.
Each text extract is presented on it's own web page.
When a writing extract is requested by clicking a
'click for written extract' image, a new browser window
opens with the example extract. This new feature helps
people to gain a good sense of a creative professionals
writing qualities, and helps potential clients make
a general assessment of their skills. Co-authored
work is not presented on Member Profile Pages for
copyright reasons.
To view an extract scroll to the bottom of a Sample
Profile Page and use the 'click for written extract'
button.
To add extracts to your Member Profile go to My Profile
and find the heading 'Adding written extracts to your
Member Profile', then click the link 'find out how'.

New
Search Engine (23 September 2002)
We have a brand new search engine at AbleStable®
which transforms our users' search capabilities. Users
can now search different realms of our site at lightning
speed. 'Deep Search' and 'Quick Pro Search' have been
replaced by a leaner, more effective single search
engine that our users can access right from our homepage.
Users can filter their search results immediately
by choosing to search one of four different realms:
• All of AbleStable®
• Creative Professionals
• Help and Information
• The Library
The search process is very fast and the most relevant
content appears at the top of result/s page/s. The
level of search result/s document detail is also significantly
improved with text extracts, URL addressing, file
size, and last modified date. In addition, users may
access a detailed search guide from within the search
result/s page/s. Our search engine can handle thousands
of documents and has been designed with scalability
in mind. Watch this space as we continue to improve
it's performance and delivery.
