• Online and print publishers may now request a complimentary critique for the purpose of reviewing our critique service. Website and Print publishers wishing to enjoy this benefit must complete a special Publishers Request Form available from our Website Critique Area.
New Column: Madness and Creativity: Creative people are in turn viewed as inspired, self indulgent, insightful, and insane. • A new Discipline 'Fine Art Photography' is introduced into our Directory, and is available within the Creative Areas Photography and Visual Art.
• Our Directory Index, Site Map, and other areas of our site are updated to reflect recent improvements to our Directory.

New Freeware: Johannes Wallroth has developed a useful World Time Clock for Windows that shows multiple time zone settings, and provides a simple alarm and calendar facility.
• A new Discipline 'Programming' is introduced into our Directory, and is available within the Creative Areas Design and Multimedia.
• The following areas have been updated to reflect the inclusion of the Discipline Programming: The main drill-down Directory; Sitemap; Directory Index; Portfolio Member Application; and the Graduate Application.
• Our Website Critique Area is updated with improved copy.
• AbleStable® gets a first place feature in Artsweek, the Computer Arts targeted newsletter that goes out to 80,000 people in the creative industries.
• Member, Graduate, and Partner profile update pages have been improved with clearer copy.
• Our General FAQs have been expanded to include a question about how our registered users can update their profiles.
New Article: Why You Shouldn't Disable Right-Click: After working hard on a design, image or article you may want to protect it by using a JavaScript that disables right-click while optionally warning a visitor that the content is copyrighted. This month sees the launch of our new Play Area. This month sees the launch of our new Play Area. You'll find some great online games, puzzles, and creative activities that function across platforms (PC and Mac).


We've three categories of games and activities: Arcade Games, Logic and Puzzles, and Creative Activities. We've provided valuable information about the browsers you''ll need, and any plugins you'll require. Best of all, our Play Area is completely free to enjoy.

Major Updates

Play Area launched (2 August 03)

August sees the launch of our new Play Area. You'll find some great online games, puzzles, and creative activities that function across platforms (PC and Mac), and that are ready to enjoy immediately...

Our Play Area is divided into three categories:
Our Arcade Games include classics like Pac Man, Worms, Break Out, and Radial Pong; at Logic and Puzzles you'll find challenges like Chess, IceBlox, and Rubik; and our Creative Activities include our HTML Text Editor, Quick Draw, and Elastic Line.

All games and activities have detailed information about what browsers and plugins are required to play, along with the size of download (most games and activities are less than 150kb). Best of all our Play Area is completely free to enjoy
