Our Awards Page
is updated with the inclusion of the Webmaster
Award (opens new window - enter our Winners
ID: 2789). The judges comments: After a review
of the website www.ablestable.com, our staff
of judges has found it to be in the top 2% of
all the websites we've reviewed. Of the thousands
of websites we review every month, our staff
believes AbleStable to have exceptional graphics
as well as unique and interesting content. |

Two new generic domain names have been added
to our Domain Name
Portfolio:
www.creativefeed.com; www.creative-feed.com. When
anyone enters these names in a web browser connected
to the Internet they will be automatically redirected
to AbleStable. Redirection provides additional paths
to discovering our site, and establishes AbleStable
as a premium destination for creative people.
• The image upload instructions available
for Showcase, Portfolio, and Graduate Members have
been updated and is available from the Member or
Graduate 'My Profile' pages.
• Our Homepage
is updated and improved with: a new content layout;
new featured Partner, and Resource links; a more
vibrant header image, and an area to highlight the
'Featured Creative' providing exceptional exposure
for select creative people.
• Publicity
and Press
Artwork have been updated with new screenshots
of our homepage.
• New Exhibition:
The

Server
Migration (12 November 2003)
We have successfully concluded our server
migration with the purpose of providing significant
improvements in our service which will result in:
greater server performance, scalability and resilience;
higher bandwidth and file capacity; a complete upgrade
of all form processing; and more.
WorldPay Server Problems Resolved
(6 November 2003)
WorldPay experienced serious problems
with their payment server which resulted in some visitors
to our site experiencing difficulties in paying for
services. Both WorldPay's payment and administration
systems remained unobtainable for many hours following
a a substantial and sustained 'Denial of Service'
attack by a third party.
The payment and administration systems worked throughout
the down period, and the data was safe and secure
at all times, but the networks around them were flooded
with requests on a massive computer-generated scale,
causing 'service denials'. This resulted in payments
being processed at a far slower rate than normal.
The integrity and security of WorldPay's systems and
data was in no way compromised throughout this period.
While this type of attack on WorldPay's system was
difficult to prevent and avoid, it was purely a matter
of the network capacity being overloaded by the deliberate
actions of a third party.
This matter has now been resolved and we apologise
for any inconvenience caused.
WorldPay Technical Systems Upgrade (30 October
03)
WorldPay,
our payment processors, performed a major upgrade
to their technical systems on 30 October. The update
ensured considerable gains in terms of the performance,
scalability and resilience of WorldPay's services.

AbleStable and Portfolios.com have developed an
association that will benefit all creative professionals.
