New
Column: Are
You Artist or Creative?: Our desire to name, define
and categorise the world is testament to our need
to make sense of it, yet many words are used in such
different ways from one person to the next, the more
they are considered, the more they confuse. The word
'artist' is one such word.

about AbleStable

Server
Problems Resolved 21 March: Our server suffered
a major hardware failure during 20 March and required
complete replacement. Our site is now fully operational
after our System Administration identified a problem
with suexe which also caused significant disruption
to form processing and a number of other script related
functions. We have also resolved a misconfiguration
error on our email server which occurred.
We apologise to all our users for any inconvenience
this may have caused during this period.

There
is nothing wrong with our mailing system and we
have never sent an email like this, nor an attachment
named 'Attach.zip'. The Spammers are using our address
along with thousands of other companies to undermine
confidence and to infect computer systems. If you
have inadvertently opened an attachment like that
above, immediately go to http://securityresponse.symantec.com/
where you will find information about the latest
security fixes.
We are monitoring this problem and would like to
hear from any users who have received such an email
so we can keep a track of this issue: email support@ablestable.com.
As a general principle never click on an email attachment
unless you know what the file contains.
