Guitar Codex Guide

Robert Leh has produced an incredibly useful applet for all those who play the guitar. GuitarCodex allows you to find out a wealth of information about guitar chords and scales through an intuative interactive interface that displays associated guitar chords in a graphical representation.

Quick Start

Usw your mouseby clicking on the fingerboard to input chord shapes.

Pass your mouse over the fretboard to view guitar notes.

Click the left letters from c down to D and keep an eye on the details section.

Features

Sixteen preset tunings and the ability to define a custom tuning.

View notes or intervals on the fretboard

Define the fretboard as a right or left handed guitar

Select any of the 12 note western scale including sharps and flats

View over 65 chord types, from majpr and minor, through to complex jazz chords

Select from 45 scale types including all the standard western scales and modes

Use the + and - signs at the top of the fretboard to change the string tuning

View many chord shapes by setting the scope of the fretboard from 1 fret to 12

Change the lower fret position as if using a Capo

Show or hide the scope bars

Show all notes

Rest

Non-natural notes are shown as flats

Reverse chords are implemented
